A storm has ravaged large parts of Surbrook Forest National Park, home to Gob and other gnomes, and animals of the forest. Gob the gnome accepts that a few gnomes cannot restore the forest after the storm. Nathan and Iris are determined to find Gob friends to help care for and protect the forest. The children faced challenges with this task, it proved to be much more challenging than they had ever thought it would be. Iris and Nathan get help from a very surprising source.

Marilyn Slaughter is an educator with experience teaching second through fifth grades, middle school science, and social studies. She now spends time authoring books for children and adults for engagement, learning, and entertainment. Marilyn’s first set of six children’s books all have the theme of children with their families enjoying the outdoors: exercising and having fun with family, teachers and classmates.
