Acidic – Acid.

Cynically – Distrusting or disparaging the motives of others.

Decay – To become decomposed, rot.

Drooped – To sag, sink, bend, or hang down, as from weakness, exhaustion, or lack of support.

Drought – A period of dry weather, especially a long one that is injurious to crops.

Ecosystems – A system, or a group of interconnected elements, formed by the interaction of a community of organisms with their environment.

Exaggerated – Unduly or unrealistically magnified.

Forest Ranger – Any of the officers employed by the government to supervise the care and preservation of forests, especially public forests.

Gasped – A sudden, short intake of breath, as in shock or surprise.

Illuminated – To supply or brighten with light; light up.

Inhabitants – A person or animal that inhabits a place, especially as a permanent resident.

Muscular – Dependent on or affected by the muscles.

Mysterious – Implying or suggesting a mystery.

Nature – The natural world as it exists without human beings or civilization.

Prank – A trick of an amusing, playful, or sometimes malicious nature.

Replenish – To make full or complete again, as by supplying what is lacking, used up, etc.

Scrunched – To contract; squeeze together.

Smog – Smoke or other atmospheric pollutants combined with fog in an unhealthy or irritating mixture.

Sternly – In a harsh, severe, or grim way.

Tirade – A prolonged outburst of bitter, outspoken denunciation.

Trademark – A distinctive mark or feature particularly characteristic of or identified with a person or thing (often used attributively).

Vile – Highly offensive, unpleasant, or objectionable.
